Altus Merlot

Located in Gualtallary, Tupungato, at 1,400 mts. above sea level, in Mendoza.
Age: 12 years old.
High trellis conduction system and drip irrigation.
Yield: 90 qq/ha.
Harvest: hand-picked in mid March.

 

 

ELABORACION

 The grape bunches are transported in boxes to the winery.
Careful elimination of stalk and gentle roller crushing of grapes.
Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, adding selected yeasts with temperature control between 24 and 27 ºC.
Residue maceration time: 14 days.
Pneumatic pressing, wine cleaning by transfer in winter, bottling at the end of the year.

Alcohol: 14,0%.
Sugar: 1,90 gr/lt.
Total acidity: 5,80 gr/lt.
pH: 3,65.

 

 

DescripciOn:

Its violet red color causes impact. There are notes of cherries and dried fruits to the nose. Well concentrated and fleshy, fresh and full- bodied in mouth.
